Endless Bore-What Do You Dig For? EP review. FFO: Uncompromising, fast as fuck hardcore with depth.

I love this band, fast and intelligent and so old school. Too many bands go for the new angle or groove, but this is the perfect mix of fast hardcore meets punk. There may be heaps of bands that have influenced this band, but they definitely sound original as hell.
And this current EP actually lifts it more, I mean we have the usual and brilliant beat your face with a baseball bat EB classic fare(which is better than most current bands)like Sink into Despair, Persistent Bother and killer opener The Buck Stop's Where?. But they have added some new flavours to the mix, like Taking Stock which has that clever groove driven by the riffs (and frankly ingenious songwriting), Tempered Expectations which has some sick arse sludge riffs and bass lines that grab your attention quickly. Just Money uses a similar approach, except it is the timely spaces in between the chaos that gives the song an edge over the hell for leather approach this band use(not a criticism at all, I love me an insane power violence album that goes for 18 mins!!) on most tracks. And as a follower of this band since its inception, I am digging the slightly different stylistic edges this band is adding to their foundation; by no means are they changing to a different genre, but they are smartly adding or bringing forth their varied influences to the front. This is why I think this is their best release so far; adding to an amazing catalogue already. Endless Bore is evolving with each release and the combination of crust punk, power violence and sludge is a perfect cocktail to destroy your ears too. Like other releases, the self-reflective and insightful lyrics continue to be my favourite of all current bands, and it's a pity more bands don't take the time to spend on decent lyrics; it certainly rounds off this perfect beast of a band.
