Elizabeth Short-Torture of the Whore album review. FFO: Brutal GoreGrind insanity!!!.
Poison Arrow Records dropped this a little while back, but frankly, I didn't want this to be missed by people as it is a clear beast of a goregrind record.
This record label out of Pittsburgh puts out some mad extreme metal and this aptly named band(google the name and the murder...utterly nuts) is just out of control full-blown insane goregrind, with some slight Death Metal stylings/added grime. It is nine tracks of hideously named songs that frankly would even scare the hell out of Cannibal Corpse. It's brutal, abrasive, but actually, is a wild listen if you are a goregrind devotee. Because despite the obvious mental deep vocals, these fuckers have the tunes and song structure. For something so unhinged, the tracks are well planned and executed. For a dose of harsh extreme metal, this actually rules hard and is one of the best goregrind releases I have heard in ages. Quality brutality!!.
Highlights:
Fetal Disembowelment and Regurgitation Facial-yes utterly charming titles, but intelligent songwriting and riffs to destroy whole galaxies!!!
