Hornography Perth Metal Sampler #2 Review. FFO: The love of metal!!!

Hornography, the insane and killer metal club in Perth that I am hoping to attend this year( as I live on the opposite side of the country!) which has sick bands playing, mad giveaways and apparently metal as hell good times have just dropped their second metal comp. And hard to believe, but it's even bigger, louder and sicker than the first one. You have well-known bands that are established and have dropped some huge releases like Crypt Crawler, The Furor, Bluddypop, The Harvest Trail and Kimura. Now these bad boys drop some nuclear tracks as expected, but the other lesser-known bands show how sick and solid the Perth metal scene is; with both diversity and strength of these bands. This sampler has everything from Death Metal, Goregrind, Black Metal, Metalcore and everything in between. I mean just pop this cd on shuffle and each time you get a solid mix of insanely great bands. There are 21 tracks and all are worth your time-there is no way I could do the cd justice by reviewing each track, but I will touch on some of my fave selections off this beast.
Crypt Crawler has an insane opener that grabs your throat and has that dynamic edge over most other acts with their focused modern death metal. The Furor as always delivers black/thrash metal at its best. 9 Foot Super Soldier are my new fave band; flatout party crossover that delivers on every front and their releases are all insane fun-riffy, moshy gold. Enforce is another band new to me, but tons of people always spoke highly of them-I can see why-this is classic thrash metal with depth and reminds me of all my foundation thrash metal bands that shaped my listening up to this very day-this is epic metal with balls. Suffer in Rot are absolute gut tearing brutal death metal and this track was a highlight of this sampler-just brutal madness. Infinite Exile were another gem of this release, wow super impressive band that has equal parts abrasive vocals and brain slicing riffs, and I loved how they sound like a sick mix of Machine Head and the best metalcore bands, a very sick band. Jamart was also a major standout; the vocals are staggeringly evil, but the gripping groove in this band is wild. This track is a slow burner with its creepy riffs and is much black metal as solid death metal-this is one band I want to hear way more of. Fugue Tomb is a magnificent sludge/doom band with tons of 90's vibes and the maddest vocals I have heard in a while. This clarifies the importance of this sampler, I play in bands and am a deep part of the metal community but haven't heard 3/4 of these killer bands; so you need this release asap. Spudking must be the first vegetable themed brutal metal band I have heard, but they are way more than chips and potato salad, the riffs are chunky and the song structures are more solid than a hash brown, killer band.
That said all the bands are metal gems and you need to give this sampler a spin!!

Out now (but individually suss out the band and their releases and go see them live!):
