Another epicly late review, but hey you know where the internet door is sweetheart, otherwise read on. Bludger have absolutely floored me with every gig they do,raw, unapologetic filthy,grotty Death Thrash with no bullshit in the mix. It certainly does help that the band is made up of solid and genuine humans with phenomenal musical knowledge. And the glorious thing about this band is they pay solid homage to the finest era of true metal but add that sick gritty hardcore feel to it. A friend of mine recently noted how they were huge fans of Imprisoned (the kings of HM2 HC back in the day) and you can often hear that in the layers of their sound.

On to the five tracks that make up this Mini-album or EP, call it whatever you want; I call it Hectically Glorious!!!. Like at any gig, this trio pulls a wickedly heavy and monstrous sound out of every track. The production and mastering are spot on, balanced, but nothing remotely clean. I want to hear every instrument and tempo change clearly, but don't want some shite stadium rock tone via the post-recording nonsense.

All in all, this is five tracks of skull-crushing greatness. It's got fuckloads of old school death metal and a touch of thrash and hardcore. The vocals are skinpeeling and acidic as fuck. The song structure is written with intent and it has that old-school groove in it's guts. I cannot separate the tracks, as everyone is a banger and if you haven't seen this band yet, why, fucking why.

This is a aussie classic.
